Ce samedi 8 novembre \u00e0 midi, une cinquantaine d’adh\u00e9rents sont venus f\u00eater l’inauguration de notre nouvel atelier<\/a>. Ce fut une belle f\u00eate, pleine de belles rencontres et de bonnes discussions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les discours<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Durant les discours, les co-pr\u00e9sidents Fran\u00e7ois Loiez<\/a> et Jo\u00ebl Brich<\/a> ont rappel\u00e9 l’histoire de V\u00e9locit\u00e9 et de l’atelier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fran\u00e7ois a rappel\u00e9 les d\u00e9buts en plein air, avant d’int\u00e9grer le garage de la rue Mirabel, puis notre nouveau local.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jo\u00ebl a \u00e9voqu\u00e9 le difficile dialogue du d\u00e9but avec les autorit\u00e9s. Celui-ci s’est am\u00e9lior\u00e9 derni\u00e8rement, en particulier avec le changement de maire. On voit enfin de vraies r\u00e9alisations pour s\u00e9curiser les cyclistes, sans engendrer des conflits avec les pi\u00e9tons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Afin de pr\u00e9parer les \u00e9lections, les adh\u00e9rents \u00e9taient aussi invit\u00e9s \u00e0 proposer leurs id\u00e9es.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nous avons enfin eu le plaisir d’accueillir nos cousins de La Casa Bicicleta<\/a> de Perpignan. Etienne Braud<\/a> (qui est aussi r\u00e9f\u00e9rent territorial de L’Heureux Cyclage<\/a>) a rappel\u00e9 l’int\u00e9r\u00eat pour les ateliers de se mettre en r\u00e9seaux et d’\u00e9changer les bonnes pratiques pour offrir un meilleur service \u00e0 leurs adh\u00e9rents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Une couverture presse<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Comme souvent, lorsqu’il se passe un \u00e9v\u00e9nement important \u00e0 Narbonne, l’Ind\u00e9pendant est pr\u00e9sent. Un journaliste est venu avant l’inauguration pour prendre des photos et publier un article<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Une longue aventure<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Fin de l’ann\u00e9e 2024, le propri\u00e9taire de notre pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent atelier nous annon\u00e7ait qu’il vendait son b\u00e2timent, et qu’il r\u00e9siliait donc notre bail. Nous \u00e9tions donc contraint de trouver un nouveau lieu pour accueillir notre atelier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apr\u00e8s des mois de recherche, Aude, notre secr\u00e9taire, a d\u00e9nich\u00e9 le bon plan, que nous avons suivi. Un rez-de-chauss\u00e9e et une cave, \u00e0 proximit\u00e9 des Barques. Ce local, qui n\u00e9cessitait pas mal de travaux et offrait un grand potentiel nous convenait. Il \u00e9tait beaucoup plus grand que l’ancien lieu, et permettait d’avoir simultan\u00e9ment 3 postes de travail. De plus, le sous-sol permettait d’entreposer des v\u00e9los \u00e0 r\u00e9parer, ou d’autres activit\u00e9s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le loyer \u00e9tait beaucoup plus \u00e9lev\u00e9 que le pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent, mais \u00e9tait absorbable par notre budget, \u00e0 condition de revendre plus de v\u00e9los reconditionn\u00e9s, ce qui est possible, avec la place suppl\u00e9mentaire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apr\u00e8s la signature du bail, fin juin, une petite \u00e9quipe de bricoleurs s’est activ\u00e9e tout l’\u00e9t\u00e9 pour enduire et peindre les murs et donner au lieu un aspect plus agr\u00e9able.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Septembre a \u00e9t\u00e9 consacr\u00e9e au d\u00e9m\u00e9nagement. Une douzaine de b\u00e9n\u00e9voles ont transport\u00e9 tout le contenu de l’ancien atelier vers le nouveau.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Octobre a \u00e9t\u00e9 consacr\u00e9 \u00e0 l’am\u00e9nagement int\u00e9rieur, et au tri des pi\u00e8ces accumul\u00e9es. Le sous-sol a aussi \u00e9t\u00e9 enti\u00e8rement d\u00e9blay\u00e9 de tout le sable et la poussi\u00e8re accumul\u00e9e. Notre v\u00e9lo-cargo est d\u00e9sormais bien connu des agents de la d\u00e9chetterie, tant les voyages ont \u00e9t\u00e9 nombreux.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Il y a encore du travail pour finaliser l’am\u00e9nagement, mais le plus gros est fait. L’atelier peut d\u00e9sormais accueillir plus d’adh\u00e9rents en m\u00eame temps, et plus de b\u00e9n\u00e9voles pour les aider, ou pour remettre en \u00e9tat des v\u00e9los, et leur donner une seconde vie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
